Konstantin Vulkov: At what time you realized your style is influencing many other people - before or after you started your blog?
Gala Gonzalez: I guess after, at the very beginning of my career I was just having fun snapping my looks. Once I realised the feedback that I was getting it struck me that some of my style tips might influence people.
Konstantin: What inpires you - mood or culture influences like movies, music, books?
Gala: I can find inspiration everywhere, but lately where I find the most is through IG posts. Is such a fast way of sinking so many images at the same time, it just blows my mind!
Konstantin: What is your explanation that great blogs like yours are so influential?
Gala: I guess just keep true to myself and my values. Don’t try to become someone or something you’re not just for the sake of it or because it’s trendy. People value the truth and that’s solely what you should provide them.
Konstantin: In terms of analogue reading, not blogs, what kind of magazines do you read and buy?
Gala: I rarely buy them as most of my reading routine is online based. However, every now and then I might buy these big fashion issues that enhance great photography and articles.
Konstantin: Tell me about shopping. Online first. What are you looking for in terms of experience when it comes to online shopping?
Gala: Actually as my job is based mainly on online platforms I rather go to the shops myself and touch the fabric as well as try the ítems on. However, if I have to buy online I always value a good delivery service and that they have a broad range of sizes.
Konstantin: What about physical shops? What kind of shops you regularly visit?
Gala: Zara has to be my go-to place. I always finds something that I like, even though I might just go inside to take a look, its never easy to walk away empty-handed
Konstantin: Apart from fashion items, what else are you buying?
Gala: I love buying good organic food and also some chocolate as my guilty pleasure.
Konstantin: Are there any particular trends that you are inspired for this summer?
Gala: I’m sticking to long, flowy dresses, strappy sandals and hats.
Konstantin: Favourite brands? How you discover new ones?
Gala: I have plenty: Sandro, maje, Free People… Through the internet, other blogs….
Konstantin: I am a journalist and I decided to make an adventure - I started a small family business with my wife, producing high end linen beach towels at yamabahari.com. Do you think we need to be lucky to succeed in this market or just continue to make a high quality product? Your advise?
Gala: I believe if you have a good quality product and you know how to promote it properly you’ll succeed. It will be hard work but worthwhile.
Konstantin: Ever thought about creating your own brand as well, just to see what will happen?
Gala: Right now I just want to focus in the present and what I have ahead of me. Future will tell, but I’m never closed to new and exciting ventures.
Konstantin: If you have to choose one clothing - which one is timeless - for women and another one for men?
Gala: Little black dress for a woman and a dark blazer for a man.
Konstantin: Your summer travel plans?
Gala: Summer is still far way and I haven’t had the chance to think it throughly.
Konstantin: Favourite song for this summer?
Gala: Time - Jungle
